Stories of the district
Lindenfeld is an important location for public and private service facilities in Lutherstadt Wittenberg. As the largest contiguous Wilhelminian style area in the city, it combines historical block perimeter development with housing from the GDR era. While the Wilhelminian style buildings were built traditionally, block-built apartment blocks from the 1950s and 1970s characterize the cityscape. The largely renovated block edge development creates an attractive residential environment. Important traffic axes are Sternstrasse, Schillerstrasse and Friedrichstrasse, which play a central access function.
Hauptbahnhof
