Reinsdorf is best known for its impressive village church, which plays an important role in the community's history. The church, a single-nave field and quarry stone building with a characteristic apse, was built around 1300 and still shows Romanesque elements at its core today. What is particularly striking is the roof tower, which was subsequently added to the bell gable and is covered with slate. [1]
In 698 the church was rebuilt and the interior was equipped with a wooden barrel vault, which gave the church a special acoustic. The altar wall impresses with side passages, while the pulpit is decorated with images of the evangelists that reflect the history of Christianity in Reinsdorf. A wooden epitaph with a crucifixion painting from the 18th century complements the sacred furnishings. A horseshoe gallery, which enriches the room acoustically, completes the interior of the church. [1]
A comprehensive renovation of the village church took place in 1997 and 1998 in order to preserve the historical heritage and make the church accessible to future generations. The first mention of the village of Reinsdorf dates back to 1398, when the place was still called "Reymersdorf", and testifies to the long and important history of this charming community. [1]

Stories of the district
With around 500 employees, Feldbinder Spezialfahrzeugwerke GmbH is one of the largest employers in Lutherstadt Wittenberg and is a leading European manufacturer of silo and tank vehicles. Their location in Reinsdorf fits into the industrial character of the place, where functional commercial buildings complement the townscape.
Another important company is Reinsdorfer Fleisch- und Wurstwarenmanufaktur GmbH, which has been known for its high-quality meat and sausage products since 1960. With 16 sales branches in cities such as Wittenberg, Dessau, Wolfen, Bitterfeld, Coswig and Bad Schmiedeberg, it has established itself nationwide. The production facility combines modern food processing with traditional craftsmanship, which is also reflected in the architecture: functional but down-to-earth buildings characterize the company premises and fit into the established structure of the place.
Both companies not only contribute to the economic stability of the region, but through their commercial buildings they also shape the architectural appearance of Reinsdorf, which is characterized by a mixture of traditional construction and functional industrial facilities.
