The hall church in Griebo, built around 1200 in the late Romanesque style, is the urban center of the town. After its destruction in the Thirty Years' War, it was rebuilt from 1653 and expanded with baroque elements such as mansard roofs and segmental arched windows. The tower, built in 1692 with a rectangular floor plan, sets a striking urban accent. The church is surrounded by a medieval fieldstone wall, which underlines its historical significance. As a dominant building and landmark, it structures the townscape and, together with the churchyard and adjacent historical buildings, forms an important architectural ensemble.

Griebo is a rural district of the Lutherstadt Wittenberg, whose settlement structure is determined by loose development, agricultural land and historical buildings. The village has a mature town center with traditional farms and residential buildings. The low structural density and the surrounding landscape give Griebo a quiet, village-like character with a high quality of stay.
