Microhome M1 is a 2024 design for a transportable living module. Its 25-square-metre interior is intended to provide adaptable space for two people to live and work. The visualisations show a concept, not a completed building.

Flexible interior

Adjustable panels and multifunctional furniture divide the interior according to use. The concept explores how living and working can share a small space.

Structure and services

The design proposes an aluminium frame with insulated wall and roof elements. Rainwater collection and storage, solar panels with batteries, heating and cooling equipment, and an internet connection are part of the concept.

Changing location

The module is conceived for changing sites. The design considers road transport on a trailer and relocation by crane. Its use scenario follows a couple whose research and reporting work takes them to different places.
